VPN Solution!

Introduction:
VPN is short for "Virtual Private Networking".  VPNs are used to give authorized users access to the office from the outside via an internet connection.

Benefits:
With the assistance of a VPN, a firm can become more competetive by giving employees remote access to the same environment  they have in the office. This is an ideal and cost effective solution for Sales, Consulting, Lawyers, indeed for anyone who needs remote access to their information.

Further benefits can be achieved by utilizing existing technologies already built into the Microsoft Windows Operating system. One of them would be to log on remotely to the office workstation and work on the office PC as if one were sitting right in front of it. The main cost invoved is building the Backbone. This is the installation of the VPN/Firewall Hardware, the purchase of the hardware and initial training. Once that has been done there are no ongoing costs as you just utilize your current already existing infrastructure. (High Speed Internet, Office Network, Office Workstations, Laptops, Home Workstations, Exsiting Software)

Setup Time Frame:
The installation of a VPN takes only 1 business day. There is only a minor interruption to the Internet as the router gets replaced with the VPN/Firewall.
The next phase is the training on how to establish a VPN connection. This is a very simple task and  can be completed in a very short time frame with minor interuption to the work day.

Additional Benefit:
In our experience there are also additional benefits which initially are not so obvious. One of them being that the IT support staff is able to access the office network while they are off site. This has tremendous benefits as they are now able to take care of a lot of issues without actually having to be on site. There are no hidden fees. The only other additional costs you might incur are if you do not have a static IP address. The cost would be $275 a year for a service that checks your IP and keeps you up to date. The other alternative is to ask your ISP for a static one. But that option usually costs 5 to 10 times the cost of the IP checking and is only really beneficial if you also want to host your own email or web servers.
